Enrich her today. Empower her tomorrow.
GAURI KAPOOR, FOUNDER
The Girl and I is the genesis of an issue that Gauri Kapoor has been passionate about for a few years. As a mother of a 10 year old boy and a 7 year old girl, she is only too familiar with how "gender stereotypes" influence her children’s own self-assessments of their skills, capabilities and interests. With over twenty years in the advertising industry developing brand strategies for large global companies, she decided it was time to create a brand that strives to make a difference in the lives of her own daughter and those of others in her community. In collaboration with experienced educators and curriculum specialists, her hope is to make The Girl and I become a valuable partner and resource for girls as they grow into successful women of the future.
EMILY ROTH, Curriculum consultant
